I am not a huge fan of contemporary styles unless its combined well with more traditional or shabby chic pieces. When Ry and I first got married we didn't have a lot of money to spend on decor (still don't :) ) and so we bought the cheapest nightstands that Wal-Mart could offer. They are not terrible but they didn't match anything else. After a trip to DI, I found a king size dark brown flat sheet for $3 which I turned into nightstand covers!
